I am a self taught artist who has been custom faux and decorative painting in commercial and residential projects for over thirty years. It has been a wonderful journey, learning the many possible ways decorative painting can be used creatively in a home on so many different surfaces. Once you understand the science of the techniques that I have learned, and experience the creation on various surfaces, you will want to run home and apply these finishes on your walls, fireplace surrounds, architectural moldings, pillars, counter tops, furniture, switch-plates, & more.
At the completion of each class, you will leave with sample boards of the techniques you have learned in that session, the tools and the knowledge/confidence to begin your own journey with faux and decorative painting.
It is a seven day course, at a fee of $200.00 per session. A list of supplies will be provided upon registering for each class. All supplies are available to purchase at "The Art Store" on Erie Blvd. In Syracuse, NY. The classes must be taken in the order listed below. Each class enables you to build the knowledge and understanding of all the different techniques and how they are related to each other. With so many products on the market, I have tried them all. I will share with you all the right, healthy and simple tools and materials to achieve beautiful looking finishes and applications.

can give you the freedomto paint any subject matter.
